New York University Abu Dhabi (NYUAD) seeks to appoint an Associate Chief Administrative Business Officer for Facilities Services and Real Estate Operations reporting to the Chief Administrative Business Officer.
The Associate Chief Administrative Business Officer for Facilities Services and Real Estate Operations (Associate CABO) is responsible for providing the highest quality, environmentally sustainable, teaching and residential environments possible for faculty and students to live, learn, and work. In this capacity, the Associate CABO is also responsible for oversight of NYUAD’s real estate function, championing community use and commercial opportunities.
The Associate CABO provides oversight and direction for on-campus space planning. Serving as the steward and champion of NYUAD’s aesthetic and space plan; promulgate space planning and usage guidelines for the university and strategic coordination on space requests and optimal space utilization. Develop the overall facilities program management and capital planning process to ensure the academic mission is realized through the effective use of physical space.
The Associate CABO ensures that the designated areas of campus are operated and maintained in the most effective and creative way to support the academic mission of the university and propel the campus into becoming a prominent center of intellectual and cultural activity for Abu Dhabi, the UAE, and the Middle East.
The Associate CABO is responsible for the seamless functioning and contract management of the facilities and campus operations encompassing Facilities Management, MEP, Campus Planning, Construction Management, Dining Services and Housing management. In this capacity, the Associate CABO will ensure NYUAD received the best commercial value for all contracts related to real estate operations.
The Associate CABO establishes performance standards and specifications and enforces contract requirements for outside contractors responsible for providing services and/or maintaining facilities that fall under NYUAD scope. Develop, negotiate, and supervise large-scale maintenance, service-provider, and custodial service contracts related to areas that fall under NYUAD scope. Develop contracting strategies that optimize service performance and value.
