New York University Abu Dhabi (NYUAD) seeks to appoint an Administrative Coordinator reporting to the Senior Associate Director, startAD


StartAD is an Abu Dhabi-based global accelerator steering seed-stage technology startups to launch, develop and scale their ventures. Anchored at NYU Abu Dhabi and powered by Tamkeen, an Abu Dhabi government owned company, the accelerator equips startups to pilot solutions with industry leaders, while enabling corporates to innovate with startups disrupting their core businesses. It also manages a seed fund for local startups.


The Administrative Coordinator will work closely with the programs heads and the Director to support in the planning, and implementation of the startAD programs, both within and outside NYUAD. 


Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist in researching, planning and executing startAD programs under the startAD banner, including scouting for startups, marketing and communications’ support, and startup support
  • Support in day to day programs’ operations including administrative and logistics needs of participating startup companies, MSME, trainers and stakeholders
  • Collect and analyze data from the programs
  • Maintain detailed documentation of programs’ activities
  • Research startup and MSME companies for startAD startup/MSME programs
  • Attend events when appropriate and assigned
  • Assist in preparing startup/MSME assessment reports
  • Assist in managing startAD social media presence
  • Assist in reaching out to startAD alumni to track their updates
  • Write detailed program reports and make presentations


Required Education:

  • Bachelor degree, preferably of arts & science


Required Experience:

  • Advanced verbal and written skills
  • Strong research analytics and problem-solving skills
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage and prioritize multiple tasks while sticking to deadlines
  • Expertise in data mining, identifying the sources of information, and acquiring the information when assigned research tasks
  • Knowledge in offline and online marketing
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and cloud-based word processing applications

Preferred Experience:

  • Up to 2 years of experience in startup accelerator programs preferred
