New York University Abu Dhabi (NYUAD) seeks to appoint a Manager, Recruitment and National Talent Programs reporting to the Head of Talent Acquisition.

 

The Manager  will collaborate across HR in the delivery of recruitment strategies and talent programs for national talent within the institution.  The manager will develop in partnership with the Head of Talent Acquisition comprehensive recruitment plans aligned with NYUAD’s objectives, identifying and engaging with potential candidates through various channels, and managing the end-to-end recruitment process. This involves candidate sourcing, screening, interviewing, and selection.

 

In addition to recruitment, the Manager in partnership with the Office of Learning & Organizational Development will collaborate on the design and implementation of talent development programs aimed at nurturing high-potential national talent and fostering a culture of continuous learning and growth.

 

The primary purpose of the role is to support the development engagement, development initiatives and solutions that strengthen talent pipelines, retaining and developing national early talent, high potential employees, middle managers, senior leaders. The role will act as a strong contributor to enabling, engaging, and growing internal talent and leadership capabilities that align with strategic goals and objectives, with a focus on National Talent development and engagement.

 

The Manager will utilize data analytics to track recruitment metrics, evaluate program effectiveness, and inform strategic decision-making. 

 

Key Responsibilities

Recruitment: 

  • Recruitment Strategy Development: Develop and execute comprehensive recruitment strategies to attract high-caliber national talent. Cultivate and maintain relationships with external partners, including universities, government entities, and recruitment agencies, to expand NYUAD’s access to talent pools.  Acting as NYUAD key contact with NAFIS, UAE universities and Sandoq Al Watan.  Collaborate in design and facilitation of information sessions and open events to prospective national candidates
  • Talent Acquisition: Manage end-to-end recruitment processes, including candidate sourcing, screening, interviewing, and selection, ensuring a seamless and positive candidate experience.
  • Data Analysis and Reporting: Utilize data analytics to track recruitment metrics, evaluate program effectiveness, and provide insights for continuous improvement, ensuring data-driven decision-making.

Talent Programs:

  • Develop, implement and lead National Talent Programs that align with the organization's goals and objectives
  • Alignment with HRBP on monthly check-in’s with talent program participants
  • Communicate the value and impact initiatives to stakeholders at all levels of the organization. 
  • Work closely with senior leadership, L&OD and Business Partners to align program deliverables with business objectives. 
  • Project management planning and automation of reporting to enable ongoing improvements and engagement 
  • Evaluate the effectiveness of programs and make data-driven recommendations for improvement.

Budget and Resource Management: 

  • Manage budget, ensuring efficient use of resources and forecasting for impactful ROI
  • Provision of data and predictive analytics for internal and external governance structures 

Qualifications

Required Education:

  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources or Business Administration

Required Experience:

  • Minimum of 10 years of experience in Talent, Learning & Development with at least 2 years in a leadership role
  • Proven experience in recruitment and talent acquisition, preferably in a managerial capacity, with a demonstrated track record of sourcing and hiring talent
  • Strong understanding of recruitment best practices, talent management principles, and employment laws and regulations
  • Strong understanding of talent, learning principles, talent management frameworks 
  • Previous experience working in collaboration with HR centers of excellence including HRBP, Learning & Organizational Development and Compensation and Benefits
  • Excellent leadership, communication, interpersonal, and relationship-building skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with internal and external stakeholders
  • Strategic mindset with the ability to think analytically, solve complex problems, and drive results
  • Project management capabilities 
  • Ability to build and maintain relationships with senior leaders and stakeholders, with a collaborative and consultative approach
  • Proficiency in utilizing recruitment tools, applicant tracking systems (ATS), and data analytics platforms
  • Commitment to diversity, equity, and inclusion, with a demonstrated ability to promote diversity initiatives within recruitment and talent programs
