Manager, Office of Research - Office of Research (Fixed-term for 3 years)

New York University Abu Dhabi (NYUAD) seeks to appoint a Manager for Office of Research reporting to the Associate Vice Chancellor for Global Research and Senior Vice Provost of Research; Professor of Physics; Global Network Professor of Physics, Faculty of Arts and Science.

Key Responsibilities: 

• This position plays a key role in supporting the Associate Vice Chancellor for Global Research and Senior Vice Provost for Research with  all matters of the Office of Research and will work closely with internal and external stakeholders to facilitate the action items of the research strategy
• Works effectively with NYUAD and NYUNY administrative units to ensure timely and effective responses to inquiries, deadlines, and interdepartmental concerns
• Maintain a supportive and functional work environment across all units that compose the Office of Research ensuring effective communications and coordination between units and teams in the university
• Assisting the Associate Vice Chancellor for Global Research and Senior Vice Provost of Research in overseeing projects and key initiatives
• Other duties as assigned

Required Education: 

• Bachelor's Degree

Required Experience: 

• 7+ years of professional experience in administrative or research support with experience managing procurement, budgets, or an equivalent combination of education and experience
• Strong organizational, project management, and communication skills.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Strong analytical skills
• Ability to prioritize and respond to need of a wide range of divergent interests

Preferred Experience: 

• 5+ years of experience in a research university setting
