Contracts Administrator - Pre-award & Research Development (3 Years Fixed-Term)

New York University Abu Dhabi (NYUAD) seeks to appoint an Contracts Administrator, reporting to the Director, Pre-Award & Research.

This position plays a key role in the Research Contracts unit by supporting the Associate Director of Research Contracts with research contract matters and will work closely with internal and external stakeholders to facilitate sponsored research activities.

Key Responsibilities:

• Draft, review, and negotiate research-related agreements (e.g., award terms, subawards, collaboration agreements, NDAs) in collaboration with sponsors and collaborators
• Facilitate and support research collaboration and general sponsored research activities.
• Assess award terms and conditions, offering contractual guidance and advice to faculty on contract provisions and research initiatives
• Assist with required reporting
• Other duties as assigned

Required Education:

• Bachelor's Degree

Required Experience:

• 5+ years of professions experience in contract management, drafting and negotiating terms and conditions, or an equivilant combinaton of education and experience
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Strong analytical skills
• Ability to prioritize and respond to need of a wide range of divergent interests

Preferred Education:

• Masters Degree or professional qualification in Law or Contracts

Preferred Experience:

• 5+ years experience in a research university setting
