New York University Abu Dhabi (NYUAD) seeks to appoint an Immigration Services Coordinator reporting to the Assistant Director of Immigration Services.

 

The incumbent will join the established immigration services and operations team based on Campus. The incumbent will be primarily responsible in providing customer service and administrative support in relation to immigration, labour, security clearance and other government related requests of employees, families and student at the University.

 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Types visa, work permits, Emirates ID and other immigration applications in Arabic/English into the online government immigration systems/portals
  • Prepares letters or other requested correspondence documents in Arabic
  • Arranges for translation of documents into Arabic from the legal translation office
  • May translate simple documents into Arabic or English on an as needed basis
  • Monitors and reassigns cases from the Abu Dhabi Immigration mail inbox
  • Coordinates with PROs and updates the immigration tracker on a daily basis
  • Sends immigration updates or generate reports from the tracking system
  • Receives and returns passports and other immigration related documents back to employees
  • Maintains an electronic log and database of processed visas, passports, Emirates IDs, insurance cards and updates the systems and trackers
  • Keys immigration data into the system
  • Prepares expense claims
  • Maintains the list and tracks leavers against staff registered for trade licenses purposes
  • Provides advice on basic queries or escalates more complex issues to the management
  • Assists with updating immigration documents, processes and procedures

Qualifications

Required Education:

  • High School Diploma

Preferred Education:

  • Bachelor's Degree

Required Experience:

  • More than 1-year experience in Immigration, Labour department and other government activities
  • Good command of English and have good conversational and written skills in Arabic language
  • Adept skills in typing English and Arabic letters
  • Have a strong attention to details and committed in fulfilling any requests of clients within the agreed time
