    New York University Abu Dhabi (NYUAD) seeks to appoint a Laboratory Coordinator reporting to the Assistant Professor of Psychology. 

     

    The Laboratory Coordinator will be responsible for oversight and logistics associated with the collection of data, analyses of existing data, design and implementation of new projects, and coordinating activities between Assistant Professor of Psychology’s lab and collaborators at outside institutions. Primary tasks will include organizing and managing research projects, training in data coding, coding of data, transcription, data entry, and organizing submissions of conference presentations and research reports.

     

    Key Responsibilities

    • Organize the ongoing, and newly developed, research activities in the lab, including but not limited to supporting the team with collecting data for their projects and ensuring that this data is stored in a safe and secure way that is easily accessed and used by the research team
    • Assist with the submission of materials reporting of the primary research findings of the lab
    • Coordinate and lead preparing and maintaining the lab documentation, including IRB documentation, task trackers, schedules, progress reports, and presentations
    • Liaise with internal and external collaborators to effectively plan, track, and complete collaborative research
    • Assist the Lab members with other duties as assigned to ensure the effective operation of the laboratory

    Qualifications

    Required Education:

    • Bachelor degree in Psychology

    Preferred Education:

    • Master’s degree in psychology

    Required Experience:

    • one year of additional research experience outside of undergraduate degree

    Required Competencies:

    • Ability to communicate effectively, proficiency in English, standard office software and ability to carry out typical administrative duties
    • Ability to work effectively with other administrative offices of the university, in particular Finance and Procurement
